Response
- Staff within TPR are encouraged to use AI where appropriate. We are actively implementing specific use cases to ensure responsible and effective applications of these technologies.
- Yes, TPR is currently using AI to assist our work. Our AI Accelerator Team is a specialised internal team focused on supporting TPR to make informed and well-governed decisions regarding AI. They are responsible for speeding up TPR's journey to ensure it is fit for the age of AI. The team is already considering how to ensure TPR considers ESG issues when adopting AI, including with reference to government’s AI playbook, which calls for the lawful, responsible and ethical use of AI.
Our AI Advisory Council is being set up to provide us with expert advice on AI-related matters, including the ethical, social, and governance implications. We intend to involve internal and external experts to help TPR stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in AI. - There is currently no set budget for generative AI tools. This is a part of the wider budget for Digital, Data & Technology (DDaT).
- We currently use Microsoft Copilot Chat across TPR plus discrete, small-scale projects use AI models available within Azure AI Foundry.
- No – it is incorporated as part of our data strategy.
- No. However, TPR has recently published DDaT and data strategies where we are incorporating AI as part of our holistic approach.
